D’Town BBQ Cook-Off

The Annual Dumas/Moore County Chamber of Commerce D’Town BBQ Cook-Off takes place in McDade Park and features teams from across the Texas Panhandle and beyond. Averaging 35-40 teams, this IBCA sanctioned and State of Texas recognized cook-off features a variety of meats including brisket, ribs, pork shoulder/butt and chicken. There is usually a Cookers Choice category as well. On Saturday, there will be a Peoples Choice fundraiser and cookers who participate will take a $1.00 donation for samples and a chance to win an award for this category. Monies collected goes to a local non-profit organization. There will also be a Kids Q for children to be able to participate too. (Entry fees for teams and children apply). Cash prizes and trophies will be awarded at the end of the cook-off on Saturday.
